Position Overview:

Carey, Richmond & Viking is one of the leading independent insurance agencies in southern New England. We are a 3rd generation family-owned insurance agency with thousands of clients in New England and throughout the US. We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Personal Lines team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ability to underwrite and issue new and renewal policies.

  • Professional written and oral interactions with clients and carrier personnel

  • Collaborate with underwriters to successfully retain business and identify/react to opportunities to insure retention.

  • Ability to identify other inside sales opportunities.

  • Work closely with Sales Executives

  • Answer billing inquiries and process endorsement requests

  • Possess technical insurance knowledge to be able to properly advise clients.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Insurance or customer service experience required.

  • Excellent phone etiquette & friendly demeanor

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Complete work timely, strong attention to detail, ability to multitask.

  • Computer savvy and can learn new systems quickly.

  • Account Manager must obtain a RI Producer’s license within 3 months of employment.
